Kaiwara ಕೈವಾರ

Very famous temple village, earlier according to belief & history known as Ekachakradhipura, the Pandavas resided in their exile period. Here Bheema killed the demon Baka. In testimony Bheemalingeswara,Amaranarayana & other temples were constructed. According to historical testimony during the Chola period this place was the headquarters of the Nadu. The great rulers such as Rajaraja and Rajendra Chola have visited and renovated the temples. Yogi Narayana the saint famous for his eternal philosophy & Kalagnana lived during the 17th & 18th century A.D.

Also known as ‘Ekachakrapura and ‘Kaivalyapura’, the village of Kaivara is in Kolar District. Chintamani Town is the nearest taluk centre. Near to Kaivara there are Ambaji durga (a Cave Temples) and the temple of Lord Venkateswara in Alamgiri.
